Heidi Van Woert and Myron Rumsey have done an amazing job initiating, collaborating and leading the student athletic opportunity of Drone Soccer to our region.
This league is in partnership with United States Drone Soccer and Region 2 New York Drone Soccer. There are two divisions of 14 teams spread across our region and a large team of instructors and certified drone pilot coaches.
Western Division:
Bath, Campbell-Savona, Prattsburgh, Corning-Painted Post, GST BOCES STEM Academy (two teams), Hammondsport
Eastern Division:
Watkins Glen, Waverly, Elmira, Odessa-Montour, Spencer-Van Etten (two teams) and Owego
Students have participated in three regional game days so far. Rankings are listed on the U.S. Drone Soccer website, and we are pleased to share we have very competitive teams that you'll find listed.
