Community/Public Information
Community Information Services, also known as public information services, helps school districts communicate with their students, staff, parents, and community. School districts are required by New York State education law to communicate specific types of information such as student codes of conduct, bussing information, school budget vote information, etc., and these specialists are experts in meeting these requirements. They advise and assist district administrators, school boards and other school district personnel in gathering information, preparing publications, calendars, newsletters, and other public communications, to promote positive and effective school and community relations.
